Henrik Scharin, Ph.D. in Economics (2005). Since 2005 he has worked as an environmental economist at the Swedish EPA (Naturvårdsverket), the Swedish Ministry of Environment, the BalticSTERN secretariat (Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University) and the National Institute of Economic Research (Konjunkturinstitutet). During these years he has mainly worked with performing economic analyses related to different environmental areas but often with a focus on freshwater and marine issues. He has been involved with the Baltic Sea action Plan (BSAP), EU Water Framework Directive (WFD), EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) and the BalticSTERN project.
