Agneta Persson is Head of Energy and Sustainable Cities Nordic Region at the Anthesis Group. She is a Civil Engineer, with a degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. She is a leading expert in sustainable energy systems, energy efficiency, low energy buildings, technology procurement, demand-side management and market transformation with 35 years of experience in energy and environmental issues. She is a pioneer in the technology procurement area, with a broad experience from developing, managing and implementing several Swedish and European projects in this field.
Agneta has also been involved in and managed several inter-disciplinary urban development projects such as the Royal Seaport (Stockholm), Brunnshög (Lund), H+ (Helsingborg), Östra Sala backe (Uppsala) and Sege Park (Malmö) in Sweden, Sibbesborg in Finland and Fishermans Bend in Melbourne (Australia). She has also managed many sustainable energy efficiency and climate mitigation projects. One of these projects was implementation of the EU directive on energy services and developing the first national energy efficiency action plan (NEEAP), an eighteen-month assignment for the Swedish Government. It involved creating part of the basis on which the government has set Sweden’s national policy plan for sustainable energy and climate.
Agneta has written more than a hundred reports and is a frequent lecturer and moderator at Swedish and European conferences.
